В теории оценки бизнеса — основная модель метода дисконтирования денежного потока (ДДП), содержит следующие два последовательных этапа, подразделяющих прогнозный денежный поток на два разряда: 1) промежуточные денежные потоки (для конечного эксплицитного периода, завершаемого в году f). Хотя точное прогнозирование будущего всегда оказывается затруднительным, все же аналитики способны порой разрабатывать для многих компаний вполне разумные прогнозы краткосрочных финансовых результатов (при условии постоянного темпа роста). Соответственно, первый компонент модели отражает приведенную стоимость промежуточных (обычно — погодовых) денежных потоков (Present Value of Interim Cash Flows, PVICF); 2) терминальная стоимость (стоимость всех остающихся денежных потоков после года f).После дискретного прогнозного периода двухстадийная модель DCF вновь преобразуется в модель Гордона (см. Формула Гордона), поскольку точность дискретного финансового прогноза уменьшается, причем нарушение условия о постоянном темпе роста становится менее существенным. После дисконтирования с конца года f возникает текущая оценка терминальной стоимости (приведенная терминальная стоимость, PVTV). Сумма двух слагаемых PVICF + PVTV и составляет искомую стоимость оцениваемого объекта.
